Provides physiotherapy services to all ages and diagnoses who are recovering from or managing the following conditions: joint repair, post-surgical hip fractures, chronic disease or multi-joint arthritis, respiratory difficulties, lymphoedema and fractures with complications.

Burnaby Hospital's physiotherapy department provides services for the following areas: joints, hip fractures, arthritis, continence issues, respiratory, ultra violet therapy, lymphedema, and neurological disorders. The department is located within the Optimization Clinic area on level 1, in the east side of the building.

Hours of operation

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Open visiting hours, but please be considerate of other patients who may need rest.

Referral

A physician referral is required. Clients must also meet specific admission criteria as determined by individual location. Referrals can be mailed or faxed to the applicable physiotherapy department.

Language (s) Offered

Primarily English, although translation services can be made available. Please contact the individual hospital location for further details. It is suggested to bring an interpreter if understanding English is difficult.
