The Mayfair is a 100-bed care community in an estate-like setting in Abbotsford. Comprised of 84 complex long term care beds and 16 independent living apartments.

Long term care consists of 6 neighbourhoods on 3 wings. Each neighbourhood consists of 13 -15 private rooms and has its own lounge, dining area and bathing facility. There are several outdoor patios and spacious ground for the enjoyment of the residents.

We believe in providing a caring environment that nurtures the holistic well-being of residents, supports relationships within the community and encourages the growth and development of both residents and our care team.

We believe our residents deserve excellence in care and we strive to achieve this by working as a team towards our common goal – a happy and healthy resident.
We are a non-denominational facility and accept residents of all nationalities, languages, cultures and religious affiliations. Although English is our primary language, we have staff members who speak English, German, Punjabi and Tagalog. 

There are 84 long term care beds at The Mayfair. Fifty-four (54) beds publicly subsidized. There are 80 single occupancy and two double occupancy rooms.


Room features and personalization Room furnishings include a hospital bed, dresser, bedside table and wardrobe and all linens

We recommend that residents bring in a favourite chair lamp, television, telephone and decorative items that will personalize their room. There are cable outlets and telephone jacks in each room. For safety reasons we do no allow rocking chairs, small rugs and electric heating pads. 
Accessibility We cannot accommodate motorized scooters. The use of electric wheelchairs is reviewed on an individual basis and approval is granted for exceptional circumstances. The site is wheelchair accessible, manual wheelchairs are used throughout the building. 
Security Security features include; wander guard at the main entrance, key padded doors and video monitoring of common areas, entrances and exits and call bells are in all bedrooms and bathrooms.  
Smoking Our home is a non-smoking facility with no amenities available. Smoking must be off site. 
Location information  The Mayfair is located on the Abbotsford bus line. Mill Lake Park and several large malls are located within a few minutes. Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre and the Dialysis Program are just a few blocks down on Marshall Rd. 
Additional site features The Mayfair provides 24-hour professional nursing services to people who are no longer able to stay at home safely. We can accommodate residents requiring dementia care. We also have 16 independent living apartments on the same property 
Parking and transportation On site parking available for visitors. 

On Abbotsford bus line. 

Driving; take the McCallum Rd exit off highway 1, north onto Marshall Rd. Turn left on Marshall Rd and The Mayfair is on the right side of Marshall Rd soon after turning onto Marshall. 


Social and recreation programs  In house activities are schedule throughout the building seven days a week. Activities include word games, reminiscing, table games, puzzles, exercise class, music programs, school visits, gardening, baking, crafts, one-one visits and birthday and holiday celebrations.  
Spiritual program Interdenominational church services are held every Sunday, with several local community churches contributing. Catholic Mass service is held every two weeks. A variety of other spiritually based programs are available throughout the week. 
Pets We have a regular pet visiting program in place. We welcome visits from family pets if we have current immunization paperwork on file in the facility. 
Medical assistance in dying On-site assessment available.

Additional services

Hairdressing  On site salon with hairdressing services for an additional fee two days per week. 
Foot and nail care Foot Care Nurse services every 4-6 weeks available for a fee. 
Additional services •  Mobile dental services available for a fee for oral screening and hygienist services.
•  A team of four physicians manage and provide medical care to all residents.
•  Life labs visits weekly for laboratory services.
•  A registered dietitian oversees the nutrition and meal service.
•  A pharmacy provides delivery of all regular and as needed medications and regularly reviews the medication profile of each resident. 
•  Physiotherapy services and rehab assistant available 4-5 days per week. No charge.
•  Social worker available 1 day per week. No charge. 
•  Optometry and hearing clinics are held onsite at regular intervals.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.


There is a monthly accommodation fee; additional fees may apply for incidental services.
