The influenza vaccine, also known as the flu shot, is available in the Fraser Health region each year during influenza season. A yearly vaccine is recommended. Vaccines are typically available starting mid- to late-October each year.
Individuals in B.C. that are at high risk of serious illness from influenza and those who are able to spread influenza to those at high risk, and people who provide essential community services are eligible for a free influenza vaccine. Learn more about who is eligible for a free influenza vaccine.
Flu shots for families with children 6 months to 4 years of age (inclusive) along with members of their immediate household are available by appointment. To make an appointment:
- Residents of Fraser East (Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Agassiz and Hope) call 604-702-4906 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm).
- Residents in any other area of Fraser Health call 604 – 476 – 7087 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm).

If you are not eligible for a free influenza vaccine, you may purchase it at your local pharmacy or travel clinic.
