Cameron Brine provides strategic leadership for the Employee Experience portfolio. He leads the strategy with a focus on its people and their work environment with the aim to improve the care experience.
Cameron leads a team that provides services in the areas of labour relations, learning and development, talent management, recruitment and retention, compensation and work design, workplace health and safety, disability management, people information, recognition and rewards, benefits administration, performance planning, workforce optimization and planning and staff scheduling.
Upon completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, Cameron joined Back in Motion Rehab Inc. as a kinesiologist. He began working as an exercise therapist as part of an interdisciplinary team of health care providers. Shortly thereafter, Cameron became a certified disability management consultant and eventually turned his focus to business development.
Before leaving Back in Motion, Cameron managed a program aimed at helping newly landed, skilled immigrants in B.C. find employment within their field of expertise.
Cameron left the private sector to join the crown corporation BC Hydro where he managed their diversity portfolio as well as their learning and development team.
Most recently, Cameron held the position of executive director, People and Culture at Vancouver Coastal Health. In that capacity he led the learning and development, change management, organization development, lean management, learning technologies, performance planning, engagement and recognition functions.
Cameron has his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Kinesiology and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
