This week's high fives go to our amazing people at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Burnaby Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital and Chilliwack General Hospital.

For Surrey Memorial Hospital

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the ICU [Intensive Care Unit] staff. My mother-in-law was in the hospital. She was brought into Emergency and then transferred to the ICU where she eventually passed away. Our family wants to acknowledge the amazing staff in the ICU Department, especially the nurses (Anisa, Natalie, Julie, Sukhy and a lovely young dark haired nurse whose name I didn't get). They were all very sweet, helpful, empathetic and accommodating. It takes a special type of person to work in such an environment and be this supportive to all the family members and visitors. Our family will forever be grateful for their kindness.

For Burnaby Hospital

It gives me great pleasure to write a complimentary letter about the exemplary service my father has recently experience on 4C at Burnaby Hospital. As fate would have it, he's been on the ward twice over the last two months and both times the care has been very good. The nursing staff was attentive, diligent, and caring. The communication between The manager, Dee Dee Wray, the PCCs [Patient Care Coordinators], and myself was excellent which allowed for more efficient care and better allocation of resources required to discharge my father. Congratulations to Sheila and Dee Dee Wray for their leadership as the efficiencies and good work ethic on 4C starts with the leadership at the site. Overall the entire nursing staff was excellent, with that being said, special thanks to JoAnn, Meredith, and Kristal.
