Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak over in the long term care area at Queen’s Park Care Centre in New Westminster.

Starting November 2, the main entrance to Royal Columbian Hospital will be located at the Emergency Department.
A staff member at Queen’s Park Care Centre has tested positive for COVID-19. Fraser Health has declared an outbreak, and a rapid response team is at the site. Communication with residents and families is underway.

Today, Fraser Health is sharing the following updates on COVID-19 outbreaks in our region:
Individual staff members at Evergreen Baptist Care Society, Good Samaritan Victoria Heights, Sunset Manor, Fort Langley Seniors Community, and Baillie House have tested positive for COVID-19. Fraser Health has declared outbreaks at these locations and has deployed rapid response teams to each site. Communication with residents and families is underway.
Starting in mid-October there will be changes to patient parking and drop-off locations at Royal Columbian Hospital. We are implementing these changes to prepare for the next phase of the Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment project.
Newcomers to Canada living in New Westminster and surrounding communities will soon have more access to primary health care through expanded services at the Umbrella Multicultural Health Co-op Community Health Centre.
Fraser Health and the City of New Westminster are advising residents of New Westminster and surrounding communities that fine particulate matter in the air is impacting air quality in the area.
